WordPress Theme Detector & CMS Checker

See which CMS a site runs on and, for WordPress, which theme (and parent theme) it uses and which plugins show up in the page code.

Need more than the CMS and theme — analytics, CDN, JS libraries, fonts? Open the website technology checker.

Fatos principais

How to find out which CMS and WordPress theme a site uses

The tool loads the page and looks for CMS fingerprints in the HTML and headers: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Shopify, Wix, Tilda, Bitrix and more. On a WordPress site it finds the theme folder, reads the header of its style.css (name, version, author, parent theme) and lists the plugins whose files appear in the page code.

WordPress theme: name, version, author, Theme URI
Child theme and its parent theme
Plugins visible in the page code
CMS and site builders: Joomla, Drupal, Shopify, Wix, Tilda and more

Como usar

FAQ

Enter the site address and click the check button. The tool downloads the page, looks in the code and headers for signs of 12 platforms (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Bitrix, Tilda, OpenCart, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Laravel) and shows a confidence percentage. No sign-up.

If the site runs WordPress, the tool finds the theme folder in the page code, reads its style.css file and shows the name, version, author and parent theme. If the theme was renamed or hidden by a security plugin, it cannot be determined.

There are three usual causes: the site uses an engine outside the 12 supported, the signals are hidden or removed, or the page is built by JavaScript and the source HTML holds no signals. Try another page of the site or a specialised service with a larger database.

It is a heuristic: each match in the HTML adds 30 points and a match in a response header adds 25, up to 100%. The more signals match, the more reliable the conclusion. It is not a statistical probability.

Only those that load scripts or styles on the tested page and appear in its code. Inactive plugins and plugins that run on the server without traces in the HTML go unnoticed.

We detect 12 platforms and show the WordPress theme and version in detail. Wappalyzer and BuiltWith cover hundreds of technologies (analytics, CDNs, frameworks), but they are separate services with their own plans and limits.

Onde somos mais fracos: we detect only 12 platforms, do not see hidden signals or JavaScript-built sites, and have no analytics, CDN and other technologies, change history or bulk checks.

Quando escolher o PromoPilot: When you want to find out quickly what a site is built on and see the WordPress theme with its version and parent theme, for example before commissioning development or when studying a competitor. For hundreds of technologies (analytics, CDNs, frameworks) use services such as Wappalyzer or BuiltWith.
