FAQ

Paste the full page URL into the form. The tool sends a site: query with that address to Google and shows whether the page is found, then checks noindex, canonical, robots.txt and the sitemap. For an exact status also open URL Inspection in Search Console.

The result reflects what a live site: search returned at the moment of the check. A “found” verdict means Google lists the page; “not found” can also mean a brand-new or recently dropped page. Re-check after a few days and compare with Search Console.

Google may not have crawled it yet, or may have discovered it without indexing it. A site: query cannot tell these cases apart. Check for noindex and robots.txt blocks, add the URL to your sitemap, and re-check in a few days.

Three a day without an account, five with a free account and twenty for Pro, plus a ceiling of five requests per minute. The quota is spent only when the Google query really ran, so a failed lookup leaves it untouched.

No. Just enter the URL; no sign-up and no site verification are required. A free account raises the daily quota from three to five checks. Google’s own URL Inspection, by contrast, only works for properties you have in Search Console.

The page names a different URL as the main one, and Google may index that URL instead. The address you checked can then show as not found even though the content is indexed. Make sure the canonical points to the page you want.
