Open port checker

The scanner connects in turn to 21 common TCP ports on a server — web (80, 443, 8080, 8443), SSH, FTP, mail, DNS, databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB), RDP and VNC — and shows which ones accept connections from the internet. The check runs from our server, so “closed” can mean a closed port or one filtered by a firewall.

FAQ

Enter the IP address or domain and press Scan. The tool connects to 21 common TCP ports one after another and marks those that accept the connection. To test a single port by hand, use nc -zv host port on Linux and macOS or Test-NetConnection in PowerShell.

Enter your router's external IP address (the My IP tool shows it) and the scanner reports which of the listed ports, such as 80, 443, 3389 or 5900, are reachable from the internet. If forwarding is set up but the port shows closed, a device firewall or carrier-grade NAT at your ISP is often the cause.

Closed means our server could not complete a TCP connection within 2 seconds. Typical reasons: the service listens on 127.0.0.1 only, a firewall or cloud security group drops the traffic, or access is limited to certain IPs. The tool has no “filtered” status to separate these cases.

A fixed set: 21, 22, 23, 25, 53, 80, 110, 143, 443, 465, 587, 993, 995, 3306, 3389, 5432, 5900, 6379, 8080, 8443 and 27017. You cannot enter a custom port or range, and only TCP is tested — UDP is not.

You can type any public address, but scan only servers you own or have the owner's permission to test; probing other people's systems without consent is not acceptable. The tool refuses local and private addresses such as 192.168.x.x and 10.x.x.x.

Up to 10 checks per minute per IP, with no daily cap. Ports are probed in parallel with a 4-second overall budget, so even a target that silently drops everything finishes quickly.

Onde somos mais fracos: We are weaker when you need a specific port: the 21-port list is fixed, there is no UDP or range scanning, and “closed” cannot tell a firewall from no service. For custom ports and UDP pick one of the other tools.
