CIDR calculator: CIDR to IP range

Enter a block in CIDR notation, such as 203.0.113.0/22, and get its range: network address, first and last host, broadcast, total addresses and how many you can assign to devices. Your prefix is highlighted in the reference table. IPv4 only. For a detailed look at a network around a specific address, use the subnet calculator.

Conversión de CIDR a rango de IP
Total addresses and usable hosts in the block
Subnet mask and wildcard mask

Cómo usar

  1. Enter a block in CIDR format, e.g. 192.168.1.0/24
  2. Read the first and last address of the range
  3. Compare total addresses with usable hosts

FAQ

Enter an address with a prefix such as 10.0.0.0/22 and run the calculation. You get the network and broadcast address, the first and last host and the address count.

A /24 has 256 addresses, 254 of them usable for hosts: the network and broadcast addresses are subtracted.

It is the inverted subnet mask: for 255.255.255.0 the wildcard is 0.0.0.255. It is used in Cisco access lists and some firewalls.

For /31 and /32 we do not subtract two addresses: a /31 has 2 usable addresses and a /32 has one.

No, IPv4 only. For IPv6 blocks use a tool that supports that protocol.

PromoPilot frente a alternativas: comparación

Parámetro PromoPilot Subnet Calculator (CIDR)
Mask, wildcard, range and host count ✓ ✓ wildcard mask for ACLs, the network in CIDR and the address range
Subnet splitting ✗ ✓ takes the required number of addresses and subnets as input
IPv6 ✗ —

Desplaza la tabla hacia los lados

Dónde somos más débiles: no subnet splitting or IPv6, and you cannot enter a mask instead of a prefix.

Cuándo elegir PromoPilot: When you need the bounds of a block fast, for a firewall, an ACL, an allow-list or an SPF record. For network planning with subnet splitting and IPv6 use other calculators.
