Natural Publication Mode: Why Uneven Intervals
Natural mode is an option for launching a cascade, where placements do not come out in one batch, but are distributed over a chosen period: from two hours to a week. The intervals between them are not the same: the platform adds a random variation to each, so the growth pattern turns out to be uneven — like links that appear on their own.
Why a Surge Looks Unnatural
When a site has been gaining a few mentions per month for years, and then suddenly receives two hundred similar publications with identical intervals in an hour, this is noticeable on any link profile graph. A uniform step of "once every 18 seconds" does not occur in nature: live mentions appear in batches and pauses, at different times of the day, with varying density. Stretching does not make links better, but removes the most obvious mechanical sign — perfect regularity.
The second, more practical argument: platforms have their own limitations on frequency. When the cascade goes evenly, there are fewer refusals during placements and fewer publications that need to be redone. This directly affects how many links will reach the status of "verified" in the launch report.
How the Interval is Calculated
The platform does not schedule tasks in advance. Instead, each launch is compared with its own curve: how many placements should be ready at the current moment if the entire period is passed evenly. A launch that is lagging behind its curve receives priority and resources; a launch that is on schedule waits. The interval between adjacent tasks is calculated from the remaining work and remaining time, and then a random variation of about a third is added — this is what makes the step uneven.
If the period ends and some tasks remain, throttling is disabled: the remainder is caught up at full speed. Stretching does not turn into an endless process — the period is counted from the start of the launch, not recalculated at each tick.
What Period to Choose

Where It Can Be Seen
- Launch Window. The checkbox for "Natural Mode" and the selection of the stretching period.
- Reports Section. The launch has a badge with the period — for example, "12 h".
- Dashboard of the Cabinet. In the Pro card, it counts how many launches are in natural mode.
Do not confuse the mode with scheduling the start date: these are different settings. Scheduling answers the question "when to start", natural mode answers "how long to finish".
Common Misconceptions
- "It speeds up indexing". No. The speed of getting indexed is controlled by a separate mechanism — see indexing of publications.
- "The longer the period, the safer it is". The relationship is not linear. A week instead of a day significantly delays the ready report, and usually does not provide any difference in perception.
- "The mode changes the quality of platforms". No, the composition of cascade levels and platforms remains the same — only the distribution over time changes.
- "Without it, links will fall under a filter". No service provides any guarantees here. The mode reduces one specific mechanical sign, nothing more.
