No Results: What to Check Step by Step

Promotion and cascades 4 min read Updated 27.07.2026
A diagnostic checklist of eight steps: from connecting Search Console and selecting a page to cannibalization and volume relative to competitors. And how to write to support for a quick resolution.

“We launched, time has passed, and there are no results” — the most common complaint about any promotion. In most cases, the reason can be found in ten minutes and lies not in the cascade, but next to it. Go through the points in order: they are arranged from the most common reasons to the rare ones.

First — about timelines

Before fixing anything, make sure there was a place for the result to appear. A link starts working only after indexing, which can take weeks; search data comes with a lag and is considered within a 28-day window. It is too early to draw conclusions before a month and a half — details in the article when to expect results.

Step-by-step checklist

StepWhere to lookWhat should be
1. Is Search Console connected“Radar” or “Pulse” of the projectWithout connection, there are no positions and clicks in the cabinet at all — “no results” may mean “no data”. See connection.
2. Is the right page selected“Radar”, page cardPositions 4–20 move noticeably from links; a page from the third hundred cannot be pulled up to the top with links.
3. Have the links been checkedLaunch reportPublications should have a “checked” mark: the system has confirmed that the link is physically on the page.
4. How many are already indexedReport and “Pulse”The number of indexed publications should be growing. Zero after a month is a signal.
5. Has the page itself changedYour siteThe address has not changed, there is no redirect, the page is open for indexing, and the text has not been rewritten beyond recognition.
6. Is there any cannibalization“Radar”, cannibalization blockIf several of your pages compete for a query, links to one of them pull it up, while another goes down. See cannibalization.
7. Is the volume sufficientComparison with competitors in “Radar”If sites above you are significantly larger, a small cascade is not enough — the issue is not in the timeline, but in the scale.
8. Has enough time passed“Search Result” blockAt least two control measurements: at 30 and 60 days.
Focus not on position, but on the chain
Position is the last link. If publications are placed, links are checked, and the number of indexed pages is growing, the work is progressing, even when the position is still stagnant. If the chain breaks at some step, you need to fix that step, not just buy more links.

Common findings

  • No data at all. Search Console is not connected, and “Pulse” shows dashes — which looks like a lack of effect.
  • The wrong page was promoted. The cascade went to the homepage, while the demand is gathered internally, or vice versa.
  • The page changed its address. After edits on the site, links lead to a redirect or a 404.
  • The volume is not comparable to the niche. The minimum cascade in a competitive topic is an application, not a leap.
  • The position has improved, but there are no clicks. Then the issue lies in the snippet: see impressions, clicks, and CTR.

What to do next

If the checklist identified a problem in steps 1–5, first fix it: a new cascade on top of a broken page will not bring back money. If everything is fine, but the movement is weak — the issue is in volume and time. A reasonable next step: gather a budget plan in “Radar”, distribute launches over weeks, and consolidate those pages where a shift is already visible.

How to write to support

To ensure that the review takes one response and not a week of correspondence, attach immediately: the address of the promoted page, the number or date of launch, what exactly you expected to see and what you see, as well as whether Search Console is connected. A screenshot of the “Search Result” or “Pulse” block saves the most time. You can contact us via the contact page form or on Telegram — the contact is indicated there as well.

FAQ

What should I start checking?
Start with the data: if Search Console is not connected, the cabinet will not show any positions or clicks, and this can easily be mistaken for a lack of results.
Should I launch a second cascade if the first one didn't work?
Only after the checklist has not found any problems. A cascade on top of an unavailable or poorly chosen page will not bring back money.
What should I attach to the support request?
The address of the page, the launch date, what you expected and what you see, and whether Search Console is connected. A screenshot of the report speeds up the review the most.
