How to Connect Google Search Console

Pulse and metrics 4 min read Updated 27.07.2026
Without Search Console, neither 'Pulse' nor 'Radar' work. Step by step: where the connect button is, what permissions are requested, how a domain resource differs from a URL prefix, and how to disable access.

Google Search Console is the source from which the platform takes the positions, impressions, and clicks of your site. Until it is connected, neither 'Pulse' nor 'Radar' work: the system has no way of knowing where your pages rank. The connection is made once per account and takes a minute.

What Appears After Connection

SectionWhat It Starts Showing
'Pulse' LinksPosition, clicks, impressions, and queries for the page plus dynamic graphs. Details — what is 'Pulse'.
'Radar'Page selection at the top threshold, potential assessment, and budget plan. See how Radar works.
Launch ReportBlock 'Search Result': how it was at the start and how it became after 30, 60, and 90 days.
Page ImportLoading site pages into the project directly from search statistics, without manual copying of addresses.
Rank Tracker and ExtensionThe actual frequency of queries for your site and data on the open page. See Rank Tracker.

How to Connect

  1. Open 'Radar' for the project or the page import window — there is a button 'Connect Google'.
  2. Select the Google account where the site is already verified in Search Console.
  3. Confirm the requested permissions on the Google screen.
  4. After returning to the dashboard, a list of available sites will appear; the project domain is matched automatically.

Resources where your account is listed as an unverified user do not appear in the list — Google still does not provide statistics for them.

What Permissions Are Requested

PermissionWhy It Is Needed
Profile and EmailTo show in the dashboard which Google account is connected.
Search Console, read-onlyA list of verified sites and search statistics for them.
Analytics, read-onlyAn optional addition: sessions and conversions if you have GA4 set up.
Read-Only Access
The platform cannot change anything on the site or in Search Console itself: read-only permissions are requested only for those resources where you are already an owner or user. Google data is used within your account and is not shared with third parties.

Domain Resource or URL Prefix

In Search Console, a site can be added in two ways. Domain resource is verified by a DNS record and covers everything at once: http and https, www and without www, all subdomains. URL prefix is verified by a file or meta tag and covers exactly one address option — statistics for https://site.com and http://www.site.com will be different.

The platform understands both formats and reduces the address to the domain without www. If there are multiple resources, any that has the required pages will do, but the domain is more convenient: it does not split into variants and does not lose part of the traffic.

If the Site Is Not Yet in Search Console

First, add and verify it with Google. Note: statistics accumulate not retroactively, but from the moment of verification. For 'Radar' to be able to offer something, a history of about 28 days and noticeable search demand is needed — on a new resource, the analysis will be empty for some time, and that is normal.

There is also the opposite case: the site is in Search Console, but the project is not in PromoPilot. 'Radar' will show such a site separately and offer to create a project in one click.

Common Messages and What to Do with Them

MessageWhat It Means and What to Do
Project domain not found in your Search ConsoleThe wrong Google account is connected or the site is not verified in it. Reconnect the correct account.
No access to data for this siteThe account sees the resource, but does not have permissions for statistics. Ask the owner to grant access in the Search Console users section.
Not enough data for auto-selection yetThere is still insufficient history. You can manually select pages for now and return later.

Another detail that scares newcomers: Google provides statistics with a delay of two to three days. Yesterday's figures will never be in the dashboard — neither with us nor in Search Console itself.

How to Disconnect

The disconnect button is located where the connect button is — in the Google site selection window. It removes saved tokens: the platform stops accessing your data, and 'Pulse' and 'Radar' remain without fresh figures. Access can also be revoked from Google's side, in the account security settings. To reconnect, use the same button.

FAQ

Can the platform change anything on my site?
No. Permissions are only requested for reading and only for those resources where you are already verified in Search Console.
Why is my site not in the list?
Most likely, a different Google account is connected, or the site is not verified in it. Reconnect the necessary account with the same button.
Why is the data delayed by a couple of days?
That's how Google works: search statistics come with a delay of two to three days, and you will see the same picture in Search Console.
What to choose — domain resource or URL prefix?
The platform understands both, but the domain is more convenient: it covers all address options and subdomains at once.
