Chrome Extension: Page Analysis and Promotion Launch
The Chrome extension displays SEO data for the page you are currently on and allows you to launch promotion without opening the dashboard.
What it can do
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rentgen | Checks the open page against several dozen parameters: indexing, headings, text volume, images without alt, markup, hreflang, basic speed metrics. Provides a score. |
| Overlay on the page button inside “Rentgen” | Overlays hints directly on the site: shows heading levels, outlines images without alt, highlights links with nofollow. |
| Promotion | Creates a project and adds the open page with an anchor from the heading, allows you to collect a cascade and launch it. |
| Potential | Displays Search Console data for the current page: position, impressions, clicks, and how many clicks it is missing. |
| Tools | Catalog of SEO tools on the platform with search: some launch directly in the extension window, others open on the site. |
| Profile | Login, balance, active cascades, and quick access to the dashboard and services. |
Installation and Login
- Install the extension from the Chrome catalog.
- Log in to your PromoPilot account directly in the extension — two-factor authentication is also supported.
- Open any page of your site and click the extension icon.
In addition to logging in with email and password, there is login via Google, registration directly in the extension, and a button “I am already logged in on the site” — it picks up the active session from the tab with the platform. The interface switches to Russian, Ukrainian, English, and Polish; the minimum browser version is Chrome 116.
What exactly “Rentgen” looks at
- Indexing: meta robots and X-Robots-Tag header, canonical, availability of robots.txt.
- Structure: heading tree H1–H6 with level gaps, text volume.
- Links: how many internal and external, how many with nofollow, sponsored and ugc, empty anchors, external links without noopener.
- Markup, languages, speed: Schema.org blocks, hreflang set, basic loading metrics measured in your browser.
The checks form an overall score with a letter grade, and the result of the last scan is saved — during a repeat check, it is visible whether it has improved or worsened.
When it is especially convenient
- Quickly assess someone else's page in the SERP — for example, a competitor.
- Check your page after edits without opening separate tools.
- Add a page to promotion as soon as you notice its potential.
“Potential” Tab in Detail
The data is taken from Search Console for the last four weeks: impressions, clicks, average position, and an estimate of how many clicks the page is missing. There is also a site-wide mode — a list of pages with the most missed clicks and a note of which have already been added to the project. The principle is the same as for pages at the top threshold: first, we take what is already almost in the top.
If something is not working
- “Potential” is empty. Search Console is not connected — click the connection button or do this in the dashboard following the instructions connecting Search Console.
- “Rentgen” does not start. Analysis is not available on browser service pages and in files that are not regular HTML — the extension will inform you about this.
- Overlay did not appear. Refresh the page and click the button again. The site itself does not change the overlay — these are visual hints in your browser.
- Balance and projects are not visible. You are not logged in or the session has expired — open “Profile” and log in again.
- Tool is missing. The full set is in the tool catalog, and it is more convenient to monitor projects from your phone via the mobile application.
The extension assesses the technical quality of a specific page: markup, headings, links, speed. It does not know what position the page is in the SERP and how many external links it has. A high score means “no obvious technical obstacles,” not “the page will be in the top.”
