Expanding the donor pool: average DR is up to 72, rotation is more varied

This week we worked on the quality of donor sites and texts. The pool grew from 32 to 42 active platforms, average DR from 69 to 72, and the new donors average 82. Cascades on the same site overlap less, and the article generator now builds its outline around the reader's real questions.

Expanding the donor pool: average DR is up to 72, rotation is more varied

All this week we worked on what you do not see in the interface but what directly shapes the outcome of a cascade: the quality of the donor sites and of the texts. The pool has grown, average DR is up, rotation is more varied, and the articles carry more substance. Here is what changed and what it gives your projects.

What changed in the donor pool

Over the week we connected ten new donors, and we keep adding. Every platform passes selection before it is switched on: we look at how much of it is actually indexed, whether a link survives moderation, and whether it stays open to indexing and passes weight. Platforms where the link is closed off or does not survive never enter the pool at all.

The pool average rose precisely because of the newcomers: their DR is thirteen points above that of the platforms already in service. Fourteen donors in the pool now sit at DR 80 or above, five at 90 or above.

Why this changes the result

Link equity is passed not by the number of placements but by a live link on a domain search engines trust. So we are not chasing platform count for its own sake: every addition is either a stronger domain or a platform that is not yet in your link profile at all.

The second effect is rotation. The cascade limits how many times one donor may appear for a single promoted page. With 32 platforms, running several cascades on one site quickly hit that ceiling and donors began to repeat. Forty-two platforms give noticeably more combinations: the wider the pool, the less uniform the profile looks.

If you run several cascades on the same site one after another, there will now be fewer overlaps between them. Nothing to configure — selection is automatic.

Level two for now. Priorities will be recalculated

The new platforms currently work mostly on the second and third levels of the cascade. That is deliberate: they have no accumulated indexing statistics yet, and the first level carries the links that point straight at your site — there we place only donors with proven behaviour.

Each platform's priority in the selection is adjusted automatically by its actual indexing: those whose publications really do reach search move up, those that consistently fail to be indexed drift down, with no manual intervention. As soon as the new platforms accumulate statistics, they will start appearing on the first level more often. Stay tuned.

Articles carry more substance

In parallel we reworked how the generator plans and writes the material:

  • The outline is now built around the reader's real questions — what to choose, how to do it, how long it takes, what can go wrong.
  • A "how to choose and what to look at" section with concrete criteria and a "typical mistakes and how to avoid them" section became mandatory.
  • Filler sections such as "why the topic matters" and "in today's world" are forbidden at the brief level: every section has to give the reader something they did not know.
  • The anchor is now written into the sentence grammatically, as an ordinary part of the text, rather than glued on as a separate phrase. The check is simple: remove the link tags and the sentence should still read coherently.
  • Anchors on the second and third levels describe the subject of the parent article instead of being drawn from a generic navigational set.
  • Your wish for the text now applies not only to the body but to the headings and to crowd comments as well — including requirements such as leaving a surname undeclined.

Also in this update

  • The platform now assembles a case study for your project on its own: if a project shows growth, a ready case with figures from your Search Console appears in the Bonuses section — you only review the text and submit it. The bonus for an accepted case is $100.
  • Mobile app: the home screen, the project card and the rewards section have been updated.
  • Fixes: the post-registration message rendered as raw code; the onboarding tooltip ran off the screen on phones; menu items did not fit the header and forced horizontal scrolling; the comparison button in Radar did nothing; long anchors failed to save and returned a "network error".

In short

The pool grew from 32 to 42 active platforms, average DR from 69 to 72, and the new donors average 82. Rotation is more varied and articles are denser in useful content. Work on the pool continues: new platforms are added every week, and as indexing data accumulates they will move up to the first level.
