Can I delete or modify a publication
Short answer: delete — sometimes yes, edit — usually no. The difference depends on the platform, and it's more honest to know this before launch than after.
Why it is arranged this way
The publication lives not with us, but on a third-party service. We own the account from which it was published, but the extent of rights is determined by the platform: some provide a full editor, others only deletion, some do not allow anything after publication, and some materials are published without any account linkage at all.
What is actually available
| Action | Status |
|---|---|
| Cancel an unlaunched cascade | Yes, before work starts |
| Stop an ongoing launch | Yes, cancel button in the report; the published will remain, money is not refunded |
| Delete a specific publication | On request to support, where the platform allows it |
| Edit the text of a published article | No, in general |
| Change the anchor in an already published link | No |
| Refuse links on the Google side | Yes, with a disavow file — see the article on sanctions |
What to do if the text is unsatisfactory
- Describe the problem to support with the publication address — we will see what is available on this platform.
- If editing is not possible, the publication can be removed and republished.
- For future launches, set text wishes in advance: there is a field in the launch window, see “Who writes articles”.
How to completely refuse placements
If you have decided that you no longer need links, there are two independent paths, and they do not exclude each other.
- Stop new launches. It is enough not to launch cascades: the platform does nothing by itself until you confirm the launch, and autopilot is only activated manually.
- Remove existing links from Google accounts. Export the list of publications from the report, compile a disavow file from it and upload it to Search Console. After that, links will no longer be counted regardless of whether the publications are alive or not.
Separately: deleting a project in the cabinet removes data from the interface but does not remove already published publications from third-party platforms — these are different things, and they should not be confused.
About changing the target address
If the promoted page has moved, links in old publications will remain at the old address. The correct solution is to set up a permanent redirect from the old address to the new one: the link weight will continue to be passed, and there will be no need to redo publications.
