Questions to Ask Before Buying Links
A checklist of fifteen questions to ask your link building contractor — with our answers to each and links to detailed explanations. The same list can be used to check any other service.
Before handing over money for links, it’s worth asking the contractor a dozen and a half questions. Below are the ones we ask ourselves, with our answers and links to detailed explanations. If another service avoids any of them with "it's a trade secret," that in itself is an answer.
About the Links

What is considered a red flag for any contractor?
Refusal to show the report structure, promise of a specific position by a date, and the phrase "links fully comply with Google’s rules" — the latter never happens.
Can I start with one page?
Yes, and this is the best way to check: launching on one page of medium priority with "before" and "after" measurement is inexpensive and provides a clear answer.
