URL Rating (UR): the strength of an individual page
URL Rating (UR) is an assessment of the link strength of a specific page on a scale from 0 to 100. Unlike Domain Rating, which describes the entire domain, UR answers the question 'how strong is this particular page?'
How it differs from DR
| Domain Rating | URL Rating | |
|---|---|---|
| Object of assessment | The entire domain | One page |
| What it considers | The profile of the entire site | Links to this page, including internal ones |
| How it grows | Slowly, from the overall profile | Faster: just strengthen one page |
| What to look for | To evaluate the site as a whole | To understand why the page is not ranking |
Why this is more practical than DR
Pages rank, not domains. A strong domain with a weak page is a common situation: the material has neither external links nor internal support. Therefore, when analyzing 'why it isn't growing', looking at the UR of the promoted page is more useful than the DR of the site.
How to strengthen a page
- Add internal links to it from relevant sections and materials — this is free and works.
- Eliminate orphan pages if there are no links at all: see orphan page.
- Add external links to the page itself, not just to the homepage.
- Check that the canonical address points to it, otherwise the weight goes to another page.
Why the homepage has a higher score
The homepage usually receives almost all internal links and a large portion of external ones, so its rating is almost always the highest on the site. This is normal and says nothing about internal pages. You should look specifically at the page you are promoting — and compare it with competing pages from the search results, not with your own homepage.

The cascade by default leads links to a specific page, not to the domain — that’s why the effect is noticeable at the page level. The dynamics for each link are collected in 'Pulse'.
