SaaS link building: tiered backlinks for feature, comparison and integration pages

SaaS search results are full of directories, “top 10 tools” listicles and competitors with years of links. Digital PR is expensive and slow, while an “X vs Y” page often needs only a few links to move from page two to page one. PromoPilot builds them as a cascade: articles on large platforms, tier 2 and 3 reinforcement and a check of every link — paid per page, with no retainer.

  • From $30 per page, no retainer
  • Tier-1 platforms: DR 73–96
  • REST API for launches and reports
  • Articles in your market’s language

Launch a cascade for one page

You need the page URL and an anchor. The project and report live in the same account as Rank Tracker and SEO Audit.

  • a feature, “X vs Y”, alternatives, integration or use-case page
  • price shown before paying, charged from balance, no subscription
  • report: every placement URL and its index status
Not sure which pages to pick? SEO Radar finds pages ranking 6–20.

What a SaaS team gets

One order covers one target page. The volume is fixed by the plan and every link can be opened and checked.

Tier 1: topical articles

A unique text about the problem your page solves, with a contextual link to it — not a profile or a comment.

Tiers 2 and 3: weight and indexing

Posts that link to the tier-1 articles so they gain weight and get indexed faster.

Anchors from your queries

Keyword Studio suggests anchors from queries the page already appears for in Google; the choice is yours.

API in your workflow

Launch cascades and pull reports with an API key — handy for growth teams and agencies.

Link and index checks

Only verified links make the report; you see which articles are already in Google, with turbo indexing for the rest.

Rankings on one chart

Rank Tracker marks cascade launches on the ranking chart, so you can see what worked.

How to launch

  1. Find pages near the top 10

Search Console or SEO Radar: pages ranking 6–20 with impressions are the best candidates.

  2. Add the link and anchors

Brand and descriptive phrases, a commercial anchor only occasionally. The plan price is shown upfront.

  3. The system builds the tiers

Tier 1 on large platforms, then tiers 2–3 and crowd per the plan; progress is visible in the dashboard or via API.

  4. Report and measure

Placement URLs, index status and rankings in Rank Tracker. Scale what moved.

Pricing: per page, not per month

Plans and unit prices come straight from the service settings — the same as on the pricing page.

A cascade vs digital PR, guest posts and directories

SaaS usually needs a mix: PR and mentions build the brand, a cascade pushes specific pages.

What a cascade will not do

  • It does not guarantee rankings or sign-ups — it guarantees the placement volume and working links.
  • It does not replace brand mentions in media and reviews, which matter for trust and AI search.
  • It will not lift a page from position 50 if the content is thin: improve the page first.
  • Google does not index every tier-1 article — budget turbo indexing for key URLs.

When it fits

  • Feature and comparison pages ranking 6–20.
  • Entering a new market: localized pages with no links yet.
  • Agencies with SaaS clients: white-label reports on Pro and the API.

Why SaaS pages need links of their own

Links to a SaaS usually point to the homepage — that is how journalists, directories and partners link. Revenue, however, comes from feature, comparison and integration pages, which have almost no links of their own, and internal linking is often not enough to beat review articles. A few links straight to such a page is the cheapest way to move it from positions 8–15.

How to measure the result

Before launching, note the page’s position and impressions in Search Console. After 4–8 weeks, compare the 28 days before and after — that is how the numbers in our case studies are calculated. Rank Tracker and the project “Pulse” show this without exports.

FAQ

Will a cascade raise my SaaS domain rating?

Do not buy it for DR. A cascade works for specific pages: it gives them links and helps the ones already near the top move up. Domain rating grows slowly and depends more on editorial brand mentions, which a cascade does not replace.

Which SaaS pages should I push first?

The ones that drive sign-ups and already rank 6–20: feature pages, “X vs Y”, “X alternatives”, integrations and use cases. Find them in Search Console or free in SEO Radar. Boosting the homepage or news posts is usually pointless.

Can we launch cascades from our own stack?

Yes. The public REST API lets you create a project, launch a cascade and fetch the report as JSON or PDF with an API key. It charges the same balance at the same prices.

Does it work for English and other markets?

Articles are written in the project language. For several markets, create a project per language and push the localized pages, so anchors and texts match the results you want to grow in.

Which anchors should I use?

For SaaS: the product name, the URL and descriptive phrases (“task tracker for teams”), with commercial queries used sparingly. Anchors come only from your list; Keyword Studio suggests them from queries the page already shows up for in Google.

How long until I see results?

The cascade report for IT projects is ready in ~13 h (median). Indexing and ranking movement take from a few days to 4–8 weeks; judge by Search Console and Rank Tracker, not the first week.
