A case converter fixes text typed with Caps Lock on, makes headings consistent and turns phrases into variable and file names. Modes: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Sentence case (a capital only at the start of each sentence), Capitalized Case, Title Case following English headline rules, inverse and alternating case, plus camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE and dot.case — line by line, so a whole list converts at once. FAQ

Paste the text and click Sentence case: everything becomes lowercase with capitals kept at the start of sentences. Proper names then need a manual fix — they cannot be guessed automatically. If the text looks like “hELLO”, use iNVERSE.

Capitalized Case capitalises the first letter of every word. Title Case follows English headline rules: articles (a, an, the), coordinating conjunctions and short prepositions (in, on, of, to…) stay lowercase unless they are the first or last word or follow a colon.

For Ukrainian use the official passport system of Cabinet Resolution No. 55 of 27 January 2010 (Київ → Kyiv). For a Russian name as in a passport use ICAO Doc 9303 (Юлия → Iuliia); for bibliographies, GOST 7.79-2000 system B. For page addresses choose URL slug — it has no apostrophes or GOST marks.

Paste a phrase or a list (one per line) and click a style: “user profile id” becomes userProfileId, UserProfileId, user_profile_id, user-profile-id or USER_PROFILE_ID. Existing names are split too: userProfileID → user_profile_id.

Yes: in Word select the text and press Shift+F3 to cycle through UPPERCASE, lowercase and Capitalize Each Word; in Google Docs use Format → Text → Capitalization. This tool adds Sentence case, rule-based Title Case, code styles, transliteration and slugs.

kebab-case / dot.casethe-quick-brown-fox / the.quick.brown.foxCSS classes, file names, config keys

Code styles are applied line by line: paste a list and you get a list back.

How Title Case works here

Every word is capitalised except articles (a, an, the), coordinating conjunctions (and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet) and short prepositions of up to three letters (at, by, in, of, on, to, up, via…). The first and last words and any word after a colon are always capitalised. Words that already contain inner capitals — iPhone, McDonald, NASA — are left as they are when your text has lowercase letters.

Transliterating Russian and Ukrainian

ExampleSystemResult
Юлия ЩукинаRussian passport (ICAO Doc 9303) / GOST 7.79-2000 BIuliia Shchukina / Yuliya Shhukina
Знам’янка, ЗгораниUkrainian official (KMU Resolution 55, 2010)Znamianka, Zghorany
Юлия ЩукинаURL slugyuliya-shchukina

Auto mode detects Ukrainian by the letters і, ї, є and ґ.

Honest limitations

  • After Sentence case, proper nouns and acronyms become lowercase — software cannot know that “paris” is a city. Check them by hand.
  • Style guides differ: AP capitalises prepositions of four or more letters (with, from), Chicago lowercases all prepositions. We follow the AP-style rule above.
  • There is no reverse transliteration (Latin → Cyrillic). Scripts other than Cyrillic and Latin with diacritics are dropped from slugs.
  • To change case inside a document, built-in tools are faster: Shift+F3 in Word, Format → Text → Capitalization in Google Docs.
